This time again the monsoon has put the food providers in trouble. In the last few days, it rained so much in Badnagar that crops started getting damaged. Due to waterlogging in the fields, soybean pods started rotting and sprouting on the plant itself. Farmers are forced to harvest soybean in fields filled with water and mud.
In such fields only 1-2 quintals of soybean is being produced. Some farmers told that earlier five laborers were employed in one bigha. Due to waterlogged fields, the same work is being done by 7-8 laborers. Nor are we getting the right price for soybean. The government is not increasing the price of soybean by Rs. 6 thousand. Neither the Patwari, agriculture officer and public representatives are visiting the fields to see the crops, nor are they listening to the problems of the farmers. If the price of soybean reaches Rs. 6 thousand in October-November then it will be easier for the farmers to buy seeds, peas, onion particles and wheat for the next crop. The government is calling agriculture a profitable business only in speeches and papers.
Farmer is unhappy with the crop
The soybean crop kept in the fields after harvesting has been completely destroyed. Fatehlal, a farmer of Khacharoda, said that the crops have been damaged due to rain. In many villages soybean production was not even as per the seeds. Farmers in many villages of Badnagar have suffered huge losses due to rain. The soybean crop harvested in the fields was destroyed due to rain.
